Wedding Dresses

Hi Girlies,

Im new to hitched so hi to you all and hope all the plans are coming along well.

Can anyone tell me is there anywhere out there that does " reasonable " priced wedding dresses. I honestly can't justify paying a fortune for a dress Im only going to wear the once - personally Id rather put the extra money into a nice honeymoon. I dont even know what the average price is for wedding dresses. Ive been looking at some sites that say wedding dresses are starting at or an average of € 1,000 which is a lot more than I had expected. I was budgeting for about € 500-600 max - and only if it is truely spectacular.

Took the measurements carefully, suppose am looking to see if people have had any positive experiences when buying on line. Any feedabk would be great.

Wedding Insurance

Has anybody managed to take out wedding insurance when not residing in Ireland?

I currently live in Australia but am getting married in Ireland. To take a policy out with any Irish company the bride or groom must reside for 6months of the year in Ireland. I can't find any other companys that offer it.

It was suggested to me to do it as an add on with travel insurance but can't get that until we book or flights and seems to be very costly.

Anyone any suggestions.......

Hello,

I have just started putting together the guest list for our wedding and the functionality to link a guest to an existing guest appears to be faulty. Lots of null values appear in the drop down where people's names should appear.

hi all, and congratulations, im at the moment trying to pick a good wedding band and need a bit of help, h2b works weekends so we find it hard to go see any live espc if there in a different county.we need a band that also does dj, and wil play everything from the seige of ennis to acdc to snow patrol, everything really as we have a big mix of young and old and both rockers and ravers coming to our wedding please god, so if any1 knows of any wedding band that will cover all that please let me know as need to book soon thanks xxxx

I originally planned to have a small wedding but it's starting to get bigger and bigger! How is everyone controlling their guestlist? I've got caught in a trap of inviting one group of friends and then thinking if I invite them then I have to invite these people. Maybe it's better to stick to just family if you want to have a small ceremony!

Can anyone please help me find a jacket identical to this one. I found this on Asos and it's exactly what I'm looking for my winter wedding. I dont want a white/ivory bolero so going for something different. It was out of stock for ages, then someone muct have returned one because I got to order a size 8 and was absolutely over the moon but they sent me the wrong jacket and now its out of stock again. I check everyday to see if they have got another back in stock but no luck. Please help.

Have anyone of you heard of the band 'The Last Word - Paddy Byrne'? Our hotel has recommended them and was just wondeirng if anyone has heard them and what do you think. I am currently living overseas and heading home to get married so we are trying to organise everything via email, skype etc. My mum went to hear the band last night and really liked them but wouldn't mind hearing some other reviews too.

We have looked at some venues around the Kildare/Meath region and are now looking at booking Castle Durrow in Laois. The venue is gorgeous but we are a bit concerned about the color scheme in the room. Has anyone booked this venue and are they looking to revamp the room to suit their own colour scheme/theme?

My head is wrecked, I have spent the last few weeks searching for a my wedding dress. Went to baldoyle at the weekend - still a bit out of my price range. Anything I can afford isnt what I want. Started looking on line this morning. A few good websites in the UK and other places. Has anyone had good experiences and if so where? My wedding isnt until Sept so time is on my hands but would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. Many thanks
