The climate in Venezuela varies with altitude and can range from hot and tropical in the lowlands to quite cool in the mountains. Be sure to take your final destination into consideration when packing for your honeymoon in Venezuela. The rainy season runs from May to December. In the lower plain areas, average daily temperatures hover around 28 degrees Celsius, but higher up in the mountains you can expect cooler daytime temperatures of around 8 degrees.

Visitors from Ireland will be issued a tourist entry card at the airport check-in desk prior to departure for a honeymoon in Venezuela. A passport valid for at least six months is required. The tourist entry card is free of charge and is valid for stays of up to 90 days. International flights arrive at Simon Bolivar International Airport, approximately 20 km outside of the capital city of Caracas, and from there you can catch a domestic flight onward, or take a taxi into town. Within city limits, public transportation in the form of metro, buses, and taxis is normally quite reliable and affordable.
