Bronagh’s father runs his own taxi firm, ‘Parkmore Taxis’, and his fleet of cars includes a Mercedes for weddings. Bronagh knew she wanted to turn up at the chapel in her father’s Mercedes, so they were driven in that car, which had been decorated with blue ribbons and a personalised registration plate.
The wedding took place at 12pm at Our Lady of Lourdes chapel in Moneyglass. Both Bronagh and Gerry had been christened there and had grown up in the area, so it was extra special for them to say their vows there. Bronagh was walked down the aisle by her father as her friend Peter sang her favourite song, ‘Feels like a Home’. Different members of Bronagh and Gerry’s families performed readings during the ceremony.
