The wedding reception followed the traditional ceremony and was held at Tullyglass House Hotel in Ballymena. Bronagh and Gerry had seen friends marry here and also knew the owners, so they felt it made sense to celebrate their wedding there. They knew the staff, food and grounds were all first class, so they considered no other place.
Bronagh wanted to keep the decor simple so she opted not to have any chair covers, favours or fussy extras. They also decided to just pick one meal for everyone – guests were treated to a delicious three course meal, with vegetable broth for starters, followed by a turkey and ham dinner. Dessert was strawberries and ice cream, a summer treat that everyone loved.
The tables were decorated in a simple and elegant fashion, with a tall flower in a vase in the middle of each.
