Mary and Ryan married at the stunning Kinnitty Castle near Mary’s hometown, chosen because of her childhood days spent visiting there.
The couple knew that they wanted a historic venue and their chosen castle venue fitted perfectly with how they envisioned their dream wedding. Seeing as Ryan is originally from South Africa, seeing a place like Kinnitty Castle was a new experience for him.
The guest list included 125 of their friends and family from all over the world, so the castle’s spaciousness and 37 rooms certainly came in handy.
Some of the guests who were due to fly home after the wedding even booked to stay longer as they didn’t want to leave!
As mentioned before, Ryan and Mary opted for a lavish red and gold colour scheme for their wedding. They didn’t have a specific theme as they wanted the focus of the day to be on spending time with their family and friends.
The couple felt so honoured that their nearest and dearest from all four corners of the globe had travelled to be with them on their special day.
Although they didn’t have a theme, Mary and Ryan still filled their wedding with thoughtful and beautiful little details. Tables were decorated with gorgeous ivy and orchids, with silver candelabras as the elegant centrepieces.
Each table name was a place that meant something important in the couple’s relationship and it had a story attached to it. This was a very personal touch and there were even photos left out for the guests to take home.
