Sarah and Chris hired Absolutely Fabulous Flowers in Celbridge to create their wedding floral arrangements. The bride carried a bouquet of roses, mini gerberas and tulips, in a deep red to work with the bridesmaid dress. Bridesmaid Lynn carried a contrasting ivory arrangement.
All the men had tulip buttonholes, and Chris had a thistle alongside his tulip buttonhole to mark his Scottish background. Flowers were also used in the church as pew ends, tied with ribbons, and fresh floral arrangements surrounded candles in the venue to add to the romantic atmosphere.
The couple got married in St Brigid’s Church in Straffan, which is Sarah’s local parish. The bride was walked down the aisle by her father as an oboist played. The couple walked out as husband and wife to ‘That’s Amore’, which raised a laugh amongst their guests as it was unexpected.
