Choosing your hairstyle for your wedding day is a difficult task as there are so many looks out there to choose from. Getting it wrong is not an option and a bad hairstyle can ruin your whole look. It is important to choose a style that compliments your face shape and emphasizes all your best features. The main face shapes are: round, oval, heart-shaped, square and long.

If you have a round face shape, the last thing you want to do is add fullness to the sides of your head and your cheeks. The best way to avoid this is not to wear your hair in tight, corkscrew curls as this will emphasize the roundness of your face. If you have medium length to long hair and a round face, go for wide curls that do not sit on your chin. Hairstyles with fullness at the crown will make your face appear slimmer and layers will help to lengthen.

Lucky you if you have an oval face shape as this suits just about any style, up or down. To achieve the best wedding hairstyle on your big day, avoid covering up your face with a heavy fringe as this will add weight to your face and you will lose your face shape.

If you have a heart- shaped face, the best wedding hairstyle for you is a chin length bob with plenty of shaggy layers. If you decide to wear your hair in an elegant up do, avoid too much height at the crown and hairstyles that emphasize your upper face, as this is the widest part and volume will make it look wider.

The best wedding hairstyle to suit a square shaped face is a medium length cut with soft layers and perhaps a slight wave which will soften the harshness of your jawline. A side parting can also add length to your face. We suggest not wearing your hair in a poker straight style, but instead, go for boho waves on your wedding day; this style very pretty and romantic.

Brides with a long face should wear their wedding hair with fullness and a soft fringe with plenty of layers cut through the length of your hair. Luckily, your wedding hairstyle can be worn with a center or side parting as both with compliment your features. If you decide to wear your hair up, try to avoid too much height as it will make your face appear longer.
