We Take a Look at the Stunning Essense of Australia 2016 Collection

by charlottesmith@hitched

We always get so excited here at the editorial desk when a new wedding dress collection arrives, so you can imagine our delight when the latest offering from Essense of Australia dropped!

If there’s one thing that Essense do well, it’s a beautiful attention to detail and this is evident in their spring 2016 collection. When I first browsed the latest offering, I loved that all of the dreamy dresses are so different.

From super pretty vintage style gowns to glamorous ball gown dresses, there’s truly something to suit every bride here.

There’s a lovely mix of pleats, tiers, lace and embellishment - all in sumptuous materials that will make you feel at your absolute best on your wedding day. Every bride is sure to find something to suit their style in here.

I had the very hard task of picking out my favourites from the new collection (I love my job!). There’s no way that I could pick just one, so I’ve compiled an edit of six styles that I’m currently coveting the most.

To see the entire Essense of Australia spring 2016 collection for yourself, visit their website and let us know what you think.

Fabulous Fishtail - Style D2006

The elegant Style D2006 is a complete show stopper. I love this dress’s luxurious combination of satin with a delicate lace overlay. Diamante beading decorates the stunning sweetheart neckline and low scoop back for a glamorous touch. Another great thing about this style is that it also looks comfortable and versatile, thanks to the flattering neckline and spaghetti straps. Take inspiration from the styling here and pair D2006 with a super long veil.

Off the Shoulder - Style D1982

This lovely off the shoulder wedding dress would certainly show off your décolletage and a statement necklace. This column dress gives a lovely, streamlined silhouette and it’s made from delicate lace with a ruched sweetheart bodice. If you want to convert to a strapless gown in the evening, the straps of D1982 are detachable. The diamante waistband is my favourite part of the dress – it adds an extra touch of sparkle.

Ruffled Glamour - Style D2073

What girl wouldn’t want to be a princess on her wedding day! Style D2073 will definitely make you feel like one. This beautiful tiered wedding dress has the wow factor and would go well with a chic updo and some statement hair jewellery. The V-neck fitted bodice leads into a statement skirt made from layer upon layer of delicate tulle.

Lacy Tiers – Style D2068

I had to include another of Essense’s tiered wedding dresses in my favourites, except this time it’s a lacy number that exudes romance. I love the beautiful cut of style D2068 and the way that the tiers cascade elegantly down the body. This dress would be perfect for a stunning outdoor wedding in the spring or summer. Pair with silver accessories, a vintage style bouquet and a long veil to complement the train – you’ll be gliding down the aisle in style D2068.

Illusion Neckline - Style D2009

If you’re looking for a wedding dress with a pretty illusion neckline, then style D2009 might take your fancy. This lace gown has a figure hugging column shape and positively oozes elegance. Your guests will also be wowed when you have your back to them at the altar – the neckline dips into a low v-back with illusion lace detail for a statement bridal look. I love this gown because it has the perfect balance of classic and contemporary elements.

Luxe Satin - Style D2090

Last but by no means least, I had to include style D2090 in my top six. The shimmer of the circular satin skirt looks so luxurious and is complemented even more with a diamante beaded bodice and A-line shape. If you’re planning a vintage wedding, then the alabaster shade of this gown would be very well suited to the theme. To ensure that the beaded bodice and deep scoop back is shown off, wear this dress with a sophisticated updo.
