My Top 7 Detailed Dresses in Lillian West’s 2016 Fall/Winter Collection

by rima@hitched

I literally couldn’t be more excited for the release of Lillian West’s new Fall/Winter collection and I can’t wait to share my favourite picks with you all. I had high hopes for the collection and I can honestly say it’s exceeded all of my expectations. The modern day boho bride is going to fall head over heels for these dresses and I can’t even tell you how hard it was to pick just 7 out of the 21 wedding dresses which make up the collection. Each piece oozes romance and class and she has even brought two-piece fashion to her bridal range which is super exciting!

Here are my favourite picks from the Lillian West collection, purely for their unbeatable designs and exquisite attention to detail!

Style 6420

I just have to kick this off with one of the prettiest tea-length dresses I’ve come across this year. The layered lace skirt and structured bodice shown in Style 6420 team up together to create a stunning look which does this style such justice. I would love to see this dress paired with a vintage fascinator or some pretty flowers in the hair –it can totally pull of both looks.

Style 6422

Next on my list of detailed dresses is this gorgeous number. Style 6422 from the collection incorporates so many of my favourite details in a wedding dress. The lace applique gives the perfect amount of detail for the bust, sleeves and beautiful sheer back, and is put together gracefully with a Grecian chiffon skirt. The plunge neckline is super flattering and I envy any bride who gets to walk down the aisle in this perfectly put together gown.

Style 6425

Style 6425, for me, is the ultimate boho dress in this collection. The full length lace pattern gives the dress a crochet-like look which is completely on trend right now. The silhouette on this gown is to die for and would look amazing for an outdoor or barn wedding in the autumn. The earthy design is a great representative for this year’s bridal trends and it’s unique texture is to die for.

Style 6427

Calling all my vintage brides – this is the dress you all need to have your eye on. As a vintage lover myself, I don’t think the theme could be represented any better than with this gown. I absolutely love the shine on the material and the sheer lace applique detail on the hem takes it to a whole new level of chic. I think the design pairs the two textures perfectly and the champagne colour is the ideal shade to show off all of the detail in Style 6427.

Style 6437

If you like attention to detail as much as I do, you are going to love this lavish little number. Style 6437 is deceiving, because just when you think it couldn’t get any prettier, you see the back of the dress which is just breath-taking. The sheer back and lace detail are so flattering to the figure and I love the fact that the buttons are so perfectly placed. The fit and flare shape is a great choice to show off exactly how stunning this dress is and don’t even get me started on that shoulder detail!

Style 6440

Less boho, more volume? Here she is, Style 6440. This dress gives you two bridal colours and showcases them beautifully in the design. The lace bodice is simple, yet stunning and the sweetheart neckline adds romance to the look. I love blush as a bridal colour, and it is so flattering on any skin tone! The strapless style leaves room to add a pretty, dainty necklace which will complete this look perfectly.

Style 6441

Finally, finally finally – I get to share with you the two-piece. This style is so on trend in 2016 and Lillian West has done it with such class and detail to every inch of this design. The lace overlay on both parts is unbelievably pretty and I love that the sleeves finish at the cut-off point to the top, with a beautiful laced finish. The Sabrina neckline on Style 6441 is the finishing touch to this piece of art!

Those are my top picks from the collection – but trust me when I say I was completely spoilt for choice! Be sure to check out the rest of her dresses, and if my first pick has inspired the tea-length option for you – have a look at our 10 top picks for tea-length dresses.
