    Civil Ceremony v Church

Hey, can anyone help me....I'm torn between having a civil ceremony and a traditional church wedding...I'm personally not religious and neither is my fiance but would like to do it 'properly', can you have a special day without a church?!

    Re: Civil Ceremony v Church

We've been to some fabulous civil ceremonys which are as "proper" as a church wedding - people seem more relaxed at a civil ceremony which makes the whole atmostphere better for the bride and groom and guests - theres nothing to stop you still having the dress and flowers and bridesmaids etc. If you're not religious then I'd go for a civil ceremony - you can tailor it to just how you want it, which no "religious" restrictions - you could even have your own vows rather than the church ones. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be a wonderful day!
