Irish citizens getting married in Italy require a Nulla Osta in order to get married there. You should send a completed application, along with a letter containing the contact details of the person organising the wedding in Italy. They will then send your application to the Embassy of Ireland in Rome for processing. The Embassy in Rome will send the Nulla Osta to the person organising the marriage 1 month before the wedding takes place.
