Niamh and Blain’s white wedding cake sat on a gorgeous, rustic wooden cake stand that the bride had created with her father. Fruit, red velvet and carrot cake featured in all three tiers and the cake was created at The Food Store in Claremorris, Co. Mayo – a wonderful shop and bakery owned by Niamh’s aunt and uncle. Wedding cake was served after the evening meal but guests with an extra sweet tooth could also tuck into the candy display before having their photograph taken in the photo booth to take home as a keepsake and memory of Niamh and Blain’s wedding.
The couple danced their first dance to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and the band, Blacktye, kept the dance floor full all night. And, as their wedding took place on New Year’s Eve, the couple had organised a firework display, provided by Pain’s Fireworks, which completed the wedding celebration perfectly.
The newlywed couple went on a mini-moon to Poland right after their wedding, but have planned a fabulous city/beach honeymoon to Dubai and the Seychelles for later in the year. They enjoyed every second of their fairytale wedding and although they went over budget, they didn’t regret it for a moment.
