Ballinacurra House located a five minute drive away from the “Ultimate wedding destination” of Kinsale a Medieval village with its famed harbour, forts and culinary reputation which contributes to the “destination wedding” atmosphere.
With over 25 years of experience, the owners Des and Lisa McGahan works attentively with you to manage your budget and lend their expertise to design a bespoke private wedding that is unique to your taste and style. Des and Lisa has also handpicked a contingency of personable staff whom includes your own personal chef, butler, in-house wedding co-ordinator and service staff
The manor house was built in the late 1700’s with its first recorded owner John Swete Esquire the High Sheriff of Cork and was sold on to the Bleazby family in 1791 who rebuilt and extended the house and owned it till the 1950’s. John Danford was the owner for about 20 year who left the house to 3 nuns in his will that he befriended during his years working in Africa.
The property features magnificent south-facing walled gardens, an outdoor entertainment patio, Italian wood fired pizza oven, croquet lawn, playground, picnic lawn and a pond and stream that leads down into the woods to a small boat jetty on the Bandon river estuary. Every room in the house has been meticulously themed and offers 22 suites throughout the Main house, Cottage and Coach House.
Our dining capacity is 150 using the conjoined Ballroom and Garden room for a formal sit down dinner. Smaller groups can avail of the Garden room that can seat up to 100 or the Ballroom up to 50 people
