We had our Reception at the Lakeside Hotel and what an amazing venue, we couldn’t have asked for more! Catherine was a delight from the start to finish with all the planning and continuous help throughout. The hotel itself is a spectacular place with a warmth of love and delightful decor around the place. The food was just spectacular and everyone was commenting on the presentation and how tasty it was. Thanks to all the management, Catherine and the team at the Lakeside Hotel the most fantastic day we could have asked for. We can’t wait to come back 5 ⭐️ Rating!!! Vanessa & Damien Burke

From the beginning to the end of our day, it was an absolutely fabulous venue. Amazing food and staff. Nothing was a problem. Our guests are still talking about how good the food and service was.

We had an early spring wedding in BrookLodge and we could not recommend it enough. Everything was perfect and our guests still comment how delicious the food was and what a fabulous venue it was. The wedding coordinators are excellent, in particular Monika who looked after us so well in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. Overall we couldn’t fault BrookLodge!

We had a wedding and a reception here in April 2018. Nobody could have a better day. Our wedding co-ordinator was Denise. She was so professional and helpful - not to mention kind. The day was amazing. Our guests were stunned at the location and the decor. The service was also held here. It was a wedding party of 62. About 40 people came afterwards to help celebrate. All you could hear was “Wow” or “this food is amazing” Our every wish was catered to and delivered! I would really recommend this venue to you.

Hi Valerie & Kayleigh I want to start off with saying thank you for being part of our day and thank you for being fantastic from the first meeting to the end. It was everything we wanted from a venue. The day could not have been anymore perfect. From the ceremony to the meal and to the afters. The day just ran so smoothly so thank you for that, and thank you for everything in the lead up to the day. Also I would just like to say a special thank you to Andreas, he is a credit to the Cliff house, he was amazing from start to finish and was just so professional and fun. He really went above and beyond to make the day go perfectly. So thank you from the bottom of hearts for making our day amazing.

I would just like to thank the abbey hotel for the absolutely fantastic service at our wedding last weekend, from the first time we met with Patricia to discuss having our wedding there the abbey could not do enough for us, anything we asked for we got and they went over and above to make everything perfect for us! I would highly recommend this venue for any bride and groom to be, the staff are brilliant, the food is fab and the ballroom is beautiful set up! Ann and her team do a wonderful job setting up the room, I will never forget walking into the ballroom and seeing it set up before the crowd went it, it was like a fairy tale! This venue from start to finish was fantastic. We wanted a very small day part (35 people) and a large after party (100 +) on a Saturday night in October and they had no problem with this. We encountered a lot of venues that would not accommodate this format. The food, the service, the accommodation and room itself was perfect and the day went exactly how we planned. Louise, Bart and the team and the hotel were excellent in ensuring that we as a couple did not have to do a single thing on the day. The day ran exactly to plan even though we decided mess around with the format and timings at the last minute on the day!!!! Could not recommend this venue highly enough.

Just back from a fantastic experience at my niece's wedding in The Grand Hotel. From the minute we entered we were greeted by such friendly and courteous staff. Everyone goes the extra mile to ensure that all needs are met. The attention to detail is second to none. A special thank you to Kieran for looking after us so well...nothing was too much trouble for him ! So a big thank you to all the staff and well done..... you all made it a very special day for everyone. We will return !!

If you are looking for a fantastic venue for your wedding, we 100% recommend the Shamrock Lodge Hotel in Athlone. We had our wedding in the Shamrock Lodge on the 18th of July 2015 and couldn't be happier with the venue we chose. The hospitality from Alan & Paddy McCaul and all the staff was top notch. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, helpful and down to earth. From the very first meeting with Alan, the General Manager, we were made to feel welcome and that nothing would be a problem with planning the wedding. We live in Australia but even this huge distance was no problem as we had numerous calls and emails with Alan to keep us up to date with anything we needed to do. Nothing we asked for was an issue, they really are professional and make the whole wedding venue planning process actually easy and fun! We, our families and guests had a fantastic weekend. We honestly cannot fault anything. We received so many compliments about the food and service, everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after perfectly. Alan was personally there for the whole wedding day to make sure we were happy and that everything was running smoothly. The hotel has been newly renovated and all of our overseas guests were very impressed with the rooms. We also took advantage of the lovely gardens and different areas of the hotel for our photographs on the day. Our whole wedding experience was amazing thanks in a large part to the Shamrock Lodge Hotel. We really look forward to going to my sister’s wedding there next year.

Dear Sir / Madam, Please forgive me for not writing sooner to thank you all most sincerely for making my daughter's day such a special one. I wish to commend all of you on your courtesy and many kindness over the time we spent with you. Your attention to detail and gentle and friendly attention to all guests requirements was exemplary. This was altogether an outstanding performance by all personnel much more so in the light that it was a special weekend, in that extra stress was placed on the dynamic of the hotel with the International football team being in residence.
