Our wedding was in Ireland but it could have been anywhere in the world. The ceremony took place outside overlooking Blessington lakes and definitely had the wow factor. It had a rustic feel that was felt throughout the Avon Ri resort, with a beautiful festival style tent sheltering our reception in the library bar. The day flowed from start to finish and I believe that that’s the vibe this relaxed setting offers. Choosing to have our wedding day here is a decision that we are delighted with. It really is a wonderland where even indoors the stunning views and interior offer the outdoors. We can’t express our gratitude to all of the staff in the Avon Ri for the most magical wedding imaginable. From start to finish the staff went above and beyond to make the experience a personal one where attention to detail and customer service were the makers of the best day of our lives. Myself and Duncan will miss you Katie. You are top of your game when it comes to wedding planning, Thank you! Laura you are super thank u and your team for going above beyond for us and our guests the service is fantastic! We would highly recommend the Avon Ri to any couple who want all of the above! Wish we could do it again..

We had a wedding and a reception here in April 2018. Nobody could have a better day. Our wedding co-ordinator was Denise. She was so professional and helpful - not to mention kind. The day was amazing. Our guests were stunned at the location and the decor. The service was also held here. It was a wedding party of 62. About 40 people came afterwards to help celebrate. All you could hear was “Wow” or “this food is amazing” Our every wish was catered to and delivered! I would really recommend this venue to you.

Hi Valerie & Kayleigh I want to start off with saying thank you for being part of our day and thank you for being fantastic from the first meeting to the end. It was everything we wanted from a venue. The day could not have been anymore perfect. From the ceremony to the meal and to the afters. The day just ran so smoothly so thank you for that, and thank you for everything in the lead up to the day. Also I would just like to say a special thank you to Andreas, he is a credit to the Cliff house, he was amazing from start to finish and was just so professional and fun. He really went above and beyond to make the day go perfectly. So thank you from the bottom of hearts for making our day amazing.

We had our wedding in the Carlton after winning a competition with the Sunday World and I have to say it was the best day of our lives. Everything was perfect from start to finish, from the room to the food to the staff everything was amazing and they really went out of their way to make our wedding day a day to remember .

What can we say about this… EVERYTHING went amazingly. Each and every staff member over the two days were outstanding and a credit to the hotel and Guy. He has a fantastic team of staff and a well-oiled machine in the hotel ! The food was exceptional every person we spoke to raved about the quality and taste of the food was exceptional. Bar staff in both days were excellent , there was never a long wait time or a long que. Throughout our whole experience from organising the wedding to our wedding day and the days after the wedding the one thing that stood out the most for us was the STAFF, each and every individual we dealt with from the reception team to floor staff , event managers and the background team were absolutely brilliant and we cannot thank you all enough. Our guests were blown away by the staff and the service they provided and it was relayed back to us by each and every person we spoke too. Guy has an exceptional team with him and it really does show through the service and hospitality of the staff. Coming from the hospitality industry I know I look out for stuff that others wouldn’t necessarily notice ,,, but there was genuinely nothing we could even begin to fault throughout the two years of planning the wedding right up until the wedding day. The day was fantastic and that was down to Castleknock hotel and its staff. We could not have chosen a better venue for our day.

My parents were married here, and we returned for our wedding. Staff and venue were fantastic. Food was brilliant. We really enjoyed the day. The hotel is a boutique style hotel and has undergone alot of refurbishment. We had 80 people at our wedding and the room was perfect for this size wedding, I think they can cater for up to 100, but it was perfect for 80. Cant highly recommend enough.

My son had his wedding there on Friday, I was very pleased with service. Barbeque menu very nice. Lots of food,staff extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We all had a magical day with wonderful memories of a perfect wedding day at the Village at Lyons. The Managers, staff could not do enough for us. The food was outstanding. All our guests were enchanted by the spectacular fairytale setting of the Village at Lyons special 5 star wedding service.

Dear Sue Yourself and Colm, and all of the staff at the Castle met, and exceeded expectations. Aiden was phenomenal, friendly, happy to fill every request and providing a consistent level of service regardless of time of day or whom was working. Sean and Jonathan and Shane, while we kept them there late every night, always had a smile and were more than could be expected and deserve only the highest recognition as ambassadors for the Castle and the experience offered. Valbona and Edita and the girls could not do enough to help us and their sincere generosity and willingness to simply be helpful shone through.
